Wie komme ich zur aktuellen Version 11
 

You cannot upgrade to 11.0 from a previous version. You must completely uninstall Alibre Design and then download the full Alibre Design 11.0 installer.

  • Step 1: Understand the changes in version 11.0
    Local Repositories, Server Repositories, Team Servers, and Team Design are no longer available in Alibre Design 11.0. If you only use the File System currently, you will have no issues. If you use Repositories, you will need to go through a data migration process before you can begin using your files in 11.0. You can wait to upgrade, but if you use Server Repositories they will be decommissioned according to the decommission schedule. The replacement for Repositories is the Alibre Vault, which is a separate installation. Familiarize yourself with the type of setup you may need before proceeding.

     
  • Step 2: Uninstall Alibre Design and Alibre Help
    Alibre Help is now a part of the Alibre Design installer and it is not required to install a separate Help installation.

     
  • Step 3: Accept the upgrade
    First, you need to go to your account information page after signing in and accept the upgrade to Alibre Design 11.0. This will make Alibre Design 11.0 available to you on the Download page.

    Accept the upgrade by clicking this link and looking for Upgrade to 11.0 on the left hand side.

     
  • Step 4: Download Alibre Design 11.0
    Alibre Design 11.0 does not have the ability to automatically upgrade previous Alibre Design installations. You must visit the Download page and download the full 11.0 installer.

     
  • Step 5: Download Add-ons
    Download any add-ons you may need, including the Alibre Vault if you have a license for it.

     
  • Step 6: Install Alibre Design 11.0
    You may be prompted to install the .NET framework, as well as the J# redistributable during installation. Alibre Design 11.0 and beyond no longer use MSJVM.

     
  • Step 7: Install and configure the Alibre Vault and other Add-ons if applicable.

     
  • Step 8: Migrate your data
    Using the data migration tool, found in the Alibre Design installation directory under Alibre Design\Program\repomigrationtool.exe, migrate your files to the Vault from the File System or from legacy Repositories. If you are not using the Vault, you can also migrate your legacy Repository files to the File System.


    If you do not have Internet access, please order an Upgrade CD. The Alibre Design 11.0 User Guide is in the final stages of production and will be available shortly.
