CAD Animation Simplified 

 
The new release of SimLab Composer 2.2 (Animation Edition) makes it very easy for users to create 3D animations showing model movements, walkthroughs, and material animations.
Created animations can be exported as rendered movies or animated 3D PDF files.
SimLab Soft started adding simple tutorials showing how easy it is to create animations using SimLab Composer 2.2. Take a look at new animation tutorials here

 
Adding Support for SolidWorks 2011 
 

SimLab Soft importers were updated to add support for the latest version of SolidWorks (2011).
The new importers are included in the latest version of SolidWorks importers for 3DS Max.
SimLab Composer 2.2 users can download the updated importer to add SolidWorks 2011 support from the following location


 
SimLab 3D PDF plugin for Rhino adds Multi language support 
 


SimLab soft released an updated version of SimLab 3D PDF plugin for Rhino. The new version adds Unicode support. The user can use any language for header/footer, object and camera names. The interface is now available in English, German, French, Italian, and Simplified Chinese. Released version was tested with Rhino 4 and Rhino 5 (32 bit).


SimLab Soft started the beta testing for Rhino 5 (64 bit version), if you are interested in testing the plugin with Rhino 5 (64 bit version), please send an email to support@simlab-soft.com and we will send you the details.
 



New OBJ and FBX Exporters for Google SketchUp
 
 
SimLab Soft released two new exporter plugins for Google SketchUp.
 
The FBX exporter plugin enables the user to export SketchUp models as FBX 2011 files, while the OBJ exporter enables the user to export Wavefront (OBJ) files.
 
Both plugins works on Windows with SketchUp (7, 7.1 and 8) free and pro.
 

SimLab Soft Animation contest extended
 

So you looked at SimLab Composer animation tutorials, and you learned how easy it is to create animations, why do not you participate in the Animation contest?


Create a rendered movie or an animated 3D PDF file, and submit the animation to SimLab Forum before the end of January to win a prize in one of the two categories: 
1- Rendered movies 
2- Animated 3D PDF files 

Each category will have 3 prizes (IPad, IPod touch, and IPod shuffle).
